The PFLAG Waver: Our Newsletter

Ladye Sparks, a lifetime member of PFLAG and long-time member of the board of directors of PFLAG Dallas, passed away on October 2, 2007, after a brief illness. As the newsletter editor for many years, Ladye made certain anything emanating from the board was written correctly. Over the years she corrected our spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. She also arranged for the trailer for the pride parade, oversaw the construction of our entry, and was always a prominent participant in the parade with her rainbow parasol (as seen on the PFLAG/Dallas homepage).  The GLBT community has lost a fierce advocate and a good friend who will be missed by PFLAG Dallas.
